"MYMP The Unreleased Acoustic Collection" was finally released by Galaxy Records

Last Sunday, May 8 aside from celebrating Mother's Day, there's another event happened in Robinsons Manila Midtown Atrium @ 5pm. MYMP (Make Your Momma Proud) finally released their latest album entitled "MYMP The Unreleased Acoustic Collection".

Selected bloggers were given a chance to cover the album launching, we started the mini presscon around 4:30 I think, it was my first time to meet their new vocalist, Juliet Bahala, 18 year old regional singing champ from Davao (Juris came from Davao also). Juliet was introduced on January 24, 2010 as the new vocalist of MYMP on ASAP. Juliet was asked how would she handle comparison from Juris, and she confidently answered that since she can't stop those comparison, she said that she will just do her own thing based on her own style. Watching her performed last Sunday, I can say that she's as good as Juris and it's not impossible that in the future she will be as famous as Juris. Chin often answer the questions from the bloggers, since Chin has the most experience in the music industry, he said that their new album will really unveil the talent of his new partner, Juliet.

Talking about the album, it is more revival of our old favorite songs in the 90's such as THINK OF LAURA (Christopher Cross), TIL THEY TAKE MY HEART AWAY (Claire Marlo), POWER OF TWO (Emily Saliers), PIANO IN THE DARK (Brenda Russel) and BABY NOW THAT I FOUND YOU (John Macleod). Who wouldn't know this songs? The said songs topped on the radio charts in their time and even up until now, you can still sing it on Karaoke. There are many other songs included in their album, their carrier single is SWAY (Bic Runga)

We have known MYMP for the past years and still in the run towards the title as one of the most popular band acts of the Philippines, MYMP indeed does it better. Just to prove that they are still strong, they still have 5 members intact and working harder, the new album is just a proof of their continued success.

MYMP The Unreleased Acoustic Collection is an array of songs that have already been performed by the band in a lot of their gigs all over the country. Chin said that some of their fans thought that  they made a remake or revival of those songs so they finally decided to record their own renditions. After years in the business and releasing 11 platinum albums, the band, the ownership of Jacques "Chin" Alcantara (also their guitarist), continues to produce the country's best acoustic covers.

Their new album is now available in all record bars nationwide, released by Galaxy Records distributed by PolyEast Records for only P299.00

No doubt that this group made their Mama Proud, they have established a name in the industry and they will once again conquer the airvawes and bring us to the extra relaxing "love bubble"
