Isang Litrong Liwanag: A Campaign in Lighting Up Thousand Homes in Payatas

Many of us are fortunate and blessed that we have all our needs, necessities are being provided....but have we ever think of those people that doesn't even have lights on their homes? Well, I for one really can't survive without a light in our home, so I can't imagine how those people living in Payatas Quezon City can survive their everyday life in darkness of their homes.

MyShelter Foundation organized a project called "Isang Litrong Liwanag (A Liter of Light)" which aims to give the sustainable and green lighting technology to 1,000 homes in Payatas community, isn't that great?  And they organized a 3-day activity "A Thousand Points of Light" this is the first large-scale activity of the said project which happened last July 1-3.

Volunteers, press and other corporate partners attended the activity to help hand in hand in reaching the goal of the project, too bad I wasn't able to join this event. They have given different tasks from the preparation to the actual assembly and installation, can you imagine from the garbage, PET bottles will be collected and transformed into Solar Bottle Bulbs, AMAZING right!
Curious how they do that? please see step by step procedure on how you can transform a pet bottle into a Solar Bulb.
