Got Tickets for Icons at Moa Arena

I can't believe that I will be going to the Icons concert tomorrow at the MOA Arena. If you have read my last post entitled Icons at Arena: Masters of OPM you would know how excited I am to watch them performing live at the same time in one stage.
 

My post was actually an entry to a contest, and yesterday to my surprise, I was one of the lucky blogger who won 1 ticket to the concert....Yipeee!!!! I am still overwhelmed right now, this is the first time I won a concert ticket...but since it was only 1 ticket I can't bring my fiance with me, but it's ok, I just need to meet the other blogger who won 1 ticket and be friends with them :-)

Hope tomorrow's weather will be ok so that it won't be a hassle for all the people who will watch the concert. I am so excited for tomorrow, I'm sure it's gonna be a great show!!!

We Are On FIRE!!!

Last August 6, Musicians on Fire(MOF) celebrated their 8th years, as part of their celebration they held a concert entitled "SUNOG" at Amoranto Theater in Quezon City. The concert started around 2pm and when we arrived we saw some of the praise and worship bands rehearsing. There were some souvenirs that can be bought in the event venue such as dog tag, boler, tshirts and pins. (*credits to Olah for all the photos used on this post)

My fiance and his band AO1 (Audience of One) was also one of the praise and worship team performed in the concert. It was really a blessed night, a night of worship and celebration of God's goodness. People from different churches came to worship God together and as one body. We were able to see some of our friends from other churches attended the event as well.

It was so refreshing hearing different songs of praise may it be slow or fast or even a metalic rock, every genre of music was used to glorify the Lord. People who attended the concert don't only recharged physically but also spiritually, because before every band there's a short exhortation that really lifted up our spirit and keep our fire burning. From children to oldies but goodies are ready to worship the Lord. There were no chairs on the venue so people can freely do what they want. People were dancing, jumping, shouting etc...it was really fun!!!

Can you imagine we started by 2pm and finished around 9.30pm, but still we were all full of energy and felt like it was not enough and we still want for more, sadly the venue was only rented until 9pm so we really need to go.Nothing really can stop the Lord in pouring out His blessings to the people who loves Him. 

Glory to God and see you next anniversary (sa Araneta naman dw!) Keep the fire burning!!!

Musicians on Fire presents "SUNOG"

Musicians on Fire or MOF is celebrating their 8th year anniversary, and part of their celebration is the concert entitled "SUNOG". Let us join them as they celebrate God's faithfulness on their ministry.

"MYMP The Unreleased Acoustic Collection" was finally released by Galaxy Records

Last Sunday, May 8 aside from celebrating Mother's Day, there's another event happened in Robinsons Manila Midtown Atrium @ 5pm. MYMP (Make Your Momma Proud) finally released their latest album entitled "MYMP The Unreleased Acoustic Collection".

Selected bloggers were given a chance to cover the album launching, we started the mini presscon around 4:30 I think, it was my first time to meet their new vocalist, Juliet Bahala, 18 year old regional singing champ from Davao (Juris came from Davao also). Juliet was introduced on January 24, 2010 as the new vocalist of MYMP on ASAP. Juliet was asked how would she handle comparison from Juris, and she confidently answered that since she can't stop those comparison, she said that she will just do her own thing based on her own style. Watching her performed last Sunday, I can say that she's as good as Juris and it's not impossible that in the future she will be as famous as Juris. Chin often answer the questions from the bloggers, since Chin has the most experience in the music industry, he said that their new album will really unveil the talent of his new partner, Juliet.

Talking about the album, it is more revival of our old favorite songs in the 90's such as THINK OF LAURA (Christopher Cross), TIL THEY TAKE MY HEART AWAY (Claire Marlo), POWER OF TWO (Emily Saliers), PIANO IN THE DARK (Brenda Russel) and BABY NOW THAT I FOUND YOU (John Macleod). Who wouldn't know this songs? The said songs topped on the radio charts in their time and even up until now, you can still sing it on Karaoke. There are many other songs included in their album, their carrier single is SWAY (Bic Runga)

We have known MYMP for the past years and still in the run towards the title as one of the most popular band acts of the Philippines, MYMP indeed does it better. Just to prove that they are still strong, they still have 5 members intact and working harder, the new album is just a proof of their continued success.

Chin said that some of their fans thought that  they made a remake or revival of those songs so they finally decided to record their own renditions. After years in the business and releasing 11 platinum albums, the band, the ownership of Jacques "Chin" Alcantara (also their guitarist), continues to produce the country's best acoustic covers.

The Birthday! The Party! The Show!

I'm not sure if I was able to share with you guys that I am one of the admin of Alakimers Fans Club, this is the fans club of Pilipinas Got Talent Semi-Finalist, the butterfly magician, Alakim. I am really not into joining fans club in fact this is the only fans club that I joined, hahahah....I really like and love Alakim when I saw his magic act at PGT, good thing one of my office mate knew Alakim personally, so I've had a chance to meet him and be friends with him. Well, enough of that, the main thing I wanted to share with you guys is his upcoming Grand Fan's Day. Last April 2 was his birthday and because he was so busy he was unable to celebrate it with his fans, so he decided to make a show for all his family, friends and of course his ever supportive fans.
